Gross offered pay is not profit. Start with guaranteed pay plus a risk-adjusted uncertain tip, then subtract cash vehicle cost, tolls, parking, and other job costs.
Compare expected net before tax by both total active time and total travel miles.Count travel to pickup, travel during the job, and the miles needed to return to useful demand. A platform's displayed mileage may not include all three.
Use one total-mile definition for every offer so distant pickups are not artificially favored.Restaurants, stores, warehouses, loading areas, parking, apartments, and customer handoffs can turn a short displayed trip into a long job.
Include expected wait, load, unload, handoff, and risk-buffer minutes before comparing hourly rates.Keep guaranteed compensation separate from tips that can change or settle later. A probability-weighted estimate is still uncertain.
Lower the realization percentage when the displayed amount is delayed, changeable, or unclear.Fuel or electricity is only one cost. Maintenance, tires, depreciation, financing, insurance, registration, and a replacement reserve can matter.

Treat demand at the destination as an estimate, never as promised future work.Review offers and route choices while safely stopped. Never speed, park unsafely, or interact with a decision screen while the vehicle is moving.
